Blackie and The Rodeo Kings at The Danforth Music Hall in Toronto on Friday, November 20th 2026. This is an intimate roots show that fans of true Americana & roots songs adore. Top notch roots- music performed by a very experienced and very gifted group of three talented singer-songwriters/ musicians and as always with Blackie and The Rodeo Kings, all fans of all ages will enjoy the fun concert of roots, blues & Americana music.
Each musician is a renowned singer/songwriter in his own right and have written Roots songs as part of their solo work. As Blackie and The Rodeo Kings, Tom Wilson (singer/guitarist), Stephen Fearing (singer/guitarist) and producer/singer/guitarist Colin Linden deliver a powerful Roots/Blues/Americana Roots show. They'll be playing all their classic songs like "Swinging From the Chains of Love" and "Stoned" and "Barbed Wire Fences" and some of their newer work, off their 2022 album "King of This Town" (see below for more info on this album). Blackie and The Rodeo Kings were created by singer songwriter Tom Wilson in 1996 as a tribute to his friend Willie P. Bennett, who Tom had been touring with prior to forming the group. Such was the musical talent of Wilson, Fearing and Linden that they continued to tour and record as a band. In addition to their work with Blackie and The Rodeo Kings the three musicians have garnered numerous Juno Awards. Tom Wilson and Colin Linden, were awarded Best New Artist of the Year for their solo work. Blackie and The Rodeo Kings were awarded Best Roots & Traditional Album of the Year for their album "Bare 40 year old Blues". The musicians bring their own diverse talents to the group with Colin being a producer as well as a singer / song writer, Tom Wilson is an established solo artist and Stephen Fearing is perhaps best known for his skill as a guitar player.
